New parents are always looking for ways to soothe their newborns to sleep, calm them down, or just simply keep them warm and comfortable. One way to do that is by swaddling your little one. But for some parents, swaddling their baby when the weather is warm may be a bit tricky. embé has created a revolutionary, lightweight swaddle—the first of its kind!—that allows parents to swaddle and wrap their baby’s arms in a blanket with the option of leaving their tiny legs out when the weather is warm. embé’s game changing solution will help many sleep deprived families!
embé will be at the 2017 LA Baby Show, on November 4 and 5, at the Magic Box at the REEF, in DTLA, when the nation’s largest show for expectant and new families returns to Los Angeles. A family-friendly mega-event featuring everything to do with maternity, baby, and toddler – from top products to trusted parenting experts – the LA Baby Show will welcome thousands of expectant and new parents from Los Angeles County, the surrounding counties, and beyond!

Tell us about embé. When did embé start and how has it evolved since then?
Embé® (pronounced “Em-bay”) was founded in Orange County, California and is led by founder and CEO, Jennifer Wynh. Jennifer is the wife and mother of four beautiful children—having four children in the short span of five and a half years. In the summer of 2012, after the birth of her third child and an unsuccessful search of a much needed summer swaddle, Jennifer was disappointed and a little surprised to find that nothing met her needs. She wanted a swaddle that was lightweight and versatile for the warmer seasons so she could swaddle and wrap her baby’s arms in the blanket, but have the option to leave the legs out of the blanket during warmer temperatures. The solution came to her late one night, and she knew that she had the answer to a common problem that many parents deal with when swaddling. She quickly got working on her first prototype. Using her strong sense of design and engineering background, she birthed the concept for the embé® 2-Way Swaddle™. Two years later, the embé® 2-Way Swaddle—the first ever patented legs-in and legs-out swaddle—made its debut. Since then, embé® has been helping to provide families with smarter, safer, and more restful sleep. embé® truly is: Created for Baby. Inspired by MOM.
What are the most popular and newest products from embé?
The most popular product is the 2-way swaddle. And our newly released product for 2017 is the 4-way transitional swaddle.
What sets embé apart in the baby marketplace?
There is no competition. Our embé 2-way swaddle design is patented and the only swaddler in the world that is designed specifically for both legs-in and out swaddling. The newly added feature to our 2-way swaddle is 3-in-1 sizing to allow for 3 different length adjustments to grow with baby.
What can parents expect from embé at the LA Baby Show?
An educational experience that will teach the proper dos and don’ts for swaddling your baby safely, correctly, and effectively. We will answer questions such as why using a swaddler is recommended over swaddling with a receiving blanket or muslin? How to create a hip-healthy swaddle? Of course, there will be goodies for the kiddos, so please stop by and visit us!
