For someone unfamiliar with La La Ling, how would you describe the company’s mission and core offerings?

La La Ling is a baby and kids’ lifestyle boutique where you’ll find the latest kiddie fashion, the coolest gifts and a fun community of families. We offer a collection of the most inspiring, modern and design-conscious options in fashion and toys for newborns to age 10.

What is the background of La La Ling? When did it start, and how has it evolved since then?

La La Ling was opened in Los Angeles’ trendy Los Feliz neighborhood in July of 2004. Founder Ling Chan realized that L.A. needed something fresh/different on the baby retail scene, thus began the adventure of creating La La Ling. A busy mom of three, she’s proud of the imprint La La Ling has made in the L.A. retail scene! As managers of La La Ling for five years, no two people showed more passion for fashion than Celine & Kara, so when the opportunity presented itself, they jumped at the chance to take over the operations of La La Ling as the new owners in April of 2012! They bring a fresh perspective on keeping the inherent uniqueness of La La Ling alive while nurturing and growing the store. Now these retail goddesses are excited about the store’s expansion of its infant/nursery section and its size range up to age 10 for La La Ling’s growing clientele!

What are the most popular and/or newest products from La La Ling?

In April 2015, La La Ling introduced their first original designs which have since become their best sellers. From tees, to onesies, to bibs, the La La Ling brand continues to grow.

What sets La La Ling apart from other baby clothing companies?

Located in the bustling neighborhood of Los Feliz, we offer an interactive experience with a vibrant motif, large scale 3-D artwork and an awesome chalkboard wall for kids to draw on! Through the inventory we curate, and the vibrant interactive nature of the store, we are committed to providing a space that encourages creativity and self-expression for local children and their families.

What would you want La La Ling’s audience to learn or see at the LA Baby Show?

I think our customers attending the LA Baby show will be interested in finding new creative gift ideas. Considering the majority of our customers are purchasing gifts for others, I think what they’d be most interested in is discovering new original products. Our clientele is always looking for items that are unique and often times funny and unusual… the goal when shopping at La La Ling is to find a gift that will wow the crowds at the birthday party or baby shower with something you can’t find everywhere else.
