Ma Yoga will be at the 2017 LA Baby Show, on November 4 and 5, at the Magic Box at the REEF, in DTLA, when the nation’s largest show for expectant and new families returns to Los Angeles.  A family-friendly mega-event featuring everything to do with maternity, baby, and toddler – from top products to trusted parenting experts – the LA Baby Show will welcome thousands of expectant and new parents from Los Angeles County, and the surrounding counties, and beyond!

We spoke with Ma Yoga to learn more about the brand and what new parents can expect at the LA Baby Show.

For someone unfamiliar with Ma Yoga, how would you describe the company’s mission and core offerings?

Ma Yoga Living’s mission is to provide yoga and education for pregnancy, motherhood and beyond. We offer prenatal and new mom yoga video classes

Online courses in birthing and breastfeeding, as well as core strengthening and healthy lifestyle for moms meditation, back pain relief, and lots more guidance, support, and inspiration for moms and moms-to-be!

Tell us about the company’s background. When did it start and how has it evolved since then?

As a prenatal yoga teacher, Jessica Jennings loved being part of a community of moms-to-be when she was pregnant, but she had no idea how much she would miss it as a new mom.

In 2009, she gathered a group of prenatal yoga teachers together who had taken her prenatal yoga teacher training and helped them start what she called “Mama Circles ” in their neighborhoods.

Now, more than 9,000 women have enjoyed guidance, inspiration and community in Ma Yoga® prenatal and mom + baby classes in Southern California.

But so many women don’t have access to classes like this, or can’t afford them. is a place where moms and moms-to-be can find accessible, affordable Ma Yoga prenatal and mom classes as well as education about birth and parenting, and a nurturing community.

Ma Yoga is grounded in the belief that the transition to motherhood is full of opportunities to discover who we truly are as human beings, and that all we need is a little guidance, inspiration, and support to learn to access our innate power, wisdom, and nurturing energy.

What are the most popular and/or newest services from Ma Yoga?

We are expanding our class offerings in Southern California to a website in order to reach women worldwide.

Since 2009, Ma Yoga® for Pregnancy, Motherhood & Beyond has offered prenatal and new mom yoga in over ten locations in Southern California.

This year, we are bringing this same therapeutic, strengthening, and uplifting method of yoga to women all over the country – and the world.

On our new online platform, we offer yoga practices specifically designed to address the physical and emotional ups and downs of the journey, as well as birth preparation and breastfeeding courses, core strength for post-baby bellies and healthy lifestyle for busy moms, and a nurturing member community.

What sets Ma Yoga apart from other yoga companies?

We specialize in prenatal and mom yoga, and offer support to new moms.

In Ma Yoga, we take time out to connect to our bodies and our growing baby by using our breath and our attention, so that we can have moments of realizing the hugeness of what is happening our lives.

Ma Yoga helps us make the most of the 18 months around having a baby, so that we know how to do stay connected and present throughout labor; and we have a practice that will support us in becoming the mother we want to be.

After baby comes, we heal our bodies, slowly re-connecting to our strong core and finding ways to nurture ourselves while nurturing our baby. We learn specific practices – not just on the mat, but off as well – to revitalize and energize throughout our busy day.
