More Than A Store: Bellies, Babies and Bosoms Is A Resource Center

Parents want quality products when they enter a baby/maternity boutique. Advice and support are just a bonus and not always so readily available. Yet Bellies, Babies and Bosoms has found a perfect blend. Designed with a mother’s needs in mind, they offer everything from clothing, blankets, and nursing pads to prenatal and lactation support.

Bellies, Babies and Bosoms is a partner of 2017 LA Baby Show, on November 4 and 5, at the Magic Box at the REEF, in DTLA, when the nation’s largest show for expectant and new families returns to Los Angeles.  A family-friendly mega-event featuring everything to do with maternity, baby, and toddler – from top products to trusted parenting experts – the LA Baby Show will welcome thousands of expectant and new parents from Los Angeles County, and the surrounding counties, and beyond!

For someone unfamiliar with Bellies, Babies & Bosoms, how would you describe the company’s mission and core offerings?

Bellies, Babies and Bosoms is a unique maternity, baby, and breastfeeding boutique whose mission is to serve the community of mothers with integrity, grace, and compassion; and to empower every mother with her choices. Bellies was designed for the real needs of motherhood in mind. We provide it all, from new pregnancy comfort concepts, to breastfeeding support, to intelligent choices and products for baby. Bellies offers a wide selection of prenatal, lactation, and postpartum products and services, and we house a team committed to nurturing our customer with impeccable service and courtesy.

Tell us about the company’s background. When did it start and how has it evolved since then?

Bellies, Babies and Bosoms was born in 2003, out of my passion for babies and love of motherhood. Ever since I was a young girl, I loved babies. I even took human pregnancy biology classes while getting my BS in Business Marketing. After having my own babies and being a birth doula, I discovered the need for support in our community. So I coupled my passion with my expertise and turned into a business to provide unique baby products, prenatal education, and lactation support for mothers in and around our city. Since its inception in 2003, Bellies has grown into a reputable resource center for new parents who trust us to guide them with their journey into parenthood.

What are the most popular and/or newest selections from Bellies, Babies & Bosoms?

Currently, the most popular selections include products made from bamboo. Whether it be baby wipes, blankets, nursing pads, or a newborn footie, parents love the feel of bamboo. Some of the newest products we carry are hand-made bohemian bibs, that moms go crazy for.  I study trends, attend numerous shows, and listen to our customer requests. Being in business for 15 years, you learn a lot. One platform of my buying has always stayed the same and that is we test every product out before we carry in store. We stand behind what we sell. We carry the best of the best, and we educate our parents about the product. Our staff is fully trained in customer service and they are mothers themselves, so they can relate to the new mom who needs guidance.

What sets Bellies, Babies & Bosoms products apart from other breastfeeding and pregnancy companies?

What sets Bellies, Babies and Bosoms apart from similar companies is our compassion. We pride ourselves on being experts in the baby world and guide parents in a loving, humble, and graceful manner. Customers always tell us they love coming into our store because it leaves them feeling good just being in our environment. We love our job and we show it by being playful, casual, and excited to help our customers.
