Jill Simonian is a TV personality, entertainment journalist, mother, and parenting and lifestyle expert. She covers parenting topics twice a week for CBS Los Angeles, and on her website The FAB Mom. She is the author of The FAB Mom’s Guide: How to Get Over the Bump & Bounce Back Fast After Baby. Simonian was featured in the March-April issue 2017 issue of New York Family in the Parent in Profile section.
The Guncles: Bill Horn and Scout Masterson
Bill and Scout started their journey as The Guncles with best friends Tori Spelling and husband Dean McDermott on their Oxygen reality show “Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood.” Bill and Scout have launched an adoption mentoring service, Hold My Hand. In 2012, Hold My Hand helped nearly 150 families with all areas of the adoption process. They also run a successful boutique pr and marketing firm, Marque Communications, which specializes in baby and kids products and produces celebrity family events. Bill and Scout enjoy being philanthropic and raise their children Simone and Bosley with the importance of helping others who need a helping hand. The couple is on the Los Angeles board of the Good Plus Foundation, as well as produce and host an annual holiday event benefiting L.A. Family Housing.
Founder of Yummy Spoonfuls Organic Baby & Tots Food is an entrepreneur, child nutrition advocate, chef, wife and mother. She grew up on a farm in Cameroon, eating homemade food from her family’s garden. This formative experience, and her passion for children’s health, inspired her to leave her career as an IT executive, and launch an innovative product, Yummy Spoonfuls available in Target® stores nationwide. A dynamic presenter, Agatha uses her expertise to help parents create healthy family meals, encourage women to meet their full potential, and teach individuals and companies how to succeed.
Laura Brown is a certified babywearing educator & postpartum doula with MamaBird Postpartum & Babywearing LA. Since the birth of her first child, she has dedicated herself to providing the latest evidence based information and support to parents throughout the birth and postpartum period. She founded one of the largest babywearing non profit organizations, trains other birth and postpartum professionals, and travels and speaks nationally about baby carriers and their use.
Bryana Kappa is an Infant-Family and Early Childhood Mental Health Specialist. She specializes in therapy with infants, toddlers, children and their family members, including newly postpartum mothers. Bryana is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a private practice in Redondo Beach, CA. Previously, Bryana worked as a therapist for non-profit organizations, serving at-risk mothers and undeserved children and families to help families heal from community violence, domestic violence, trauma, and the devastating effects of postpartum depression.
Savanna is a recent graduate from Cal State Northridge with her BA in theatre. She loves musical theatre, has a beautiful singing voice and is passionate about music and the magic it can create in tiny minds! Savanna is amazing with kids. She is kind, kooky and absolutely loves working with children, as well as leading groups of them. She loves dancing, singing, playing her ukulele, and can’t wait to share all of it with you.
Laura Clark is the lead editor of moms’ lifestyle site Mom.me. She has covered parenting, news and entertainment at Mom.me since it launched in May 2012. A mother of two, Laura also has appeared on “Access Hollywood” and “The Insider” to discuss the intersection of celebrity and parenting. Before Mom.me, Laura served as an editor at Woman’s Day, Variety and The New York Times Syndicate.
Corky Harvey, MS, RN, IBCLC is the co-founder of The Pump Station & Nurtury, the first new parent resource center of its kind. She is a registered nurse with a Master’s degree in maternal/newborn nursing from the University of Maryland. She is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, a certified Happiest Baby on the Block educator, and was a long-time Childbirth Educator. Corky does one-on-one lactation consultations, teaches Prenatal Breastfeeding, Baby Care, and new Grandparents classes. One of her favorite things to do is facilitate the New Mothers Breastfeeding Support Groups. She was on the faculty of the UCLA Lactation Educator and Consultant programs for many years and still lectures at hospitals, conferences and parent venues.
Shari Criso brings 25 years of experience as a nurse, midwife, lactation consultant, and Evenflo Feeding’s national spokesperson and expert to helps moms reach their personal breastfeeding and pumping goals.
Chad Ekstrom has been changing cloth diapers for over 11 years. Fathering 5 amazing kiddos has proven to make Chad a bit of an expert in the cloth diaper community. From soup to nuts, Chad has supported Julie (wife to Chad, founder and CEO of Kanga Care, and owner of multiple diaper patents) from the early days of cutting and tracing fabric while making diapers at home, to current day developing of Kanga Care’s international presence by partnering with distributors near and far.
Rachel is the Motherly Sleep Expert, a certified infant and Toddler Sleep Specialist and Motherly’s Sales Partnerships Manager. She is passionate about educating families on the importance of rest and providing the encouragement to overcome sleep challenges. She lives outside of Boston with her husband and children. Jasmine Moradfar M.Ed earned her Bachelors in both Psychology and Sociology, as well as her Masters in Education from UCLA with and emphasis in early childhood education. After working as a preschool teacher for several years, she created her own company called Play Creations Kids, which offers multi-media mommy and me classes, in home parent consultations and preschool preparedness help. She’s created a truly unique curriculum for young children integrating sensory play, art exploration and music all in one exciting mommy and me class.
Arabella is a Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator (LCCE), Lamaze Educator Instructor and trained through DONA as a Postpartum Doula. She completed her clinical hours and academic study for Lactation Consulting through UC San Diego, and holds the credential IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant). As an IBCLC she has achieved the highest standard of specialized knowledge and clinical expertise in breastfeeding and human lactation.
Birdie’s Playhouse creates rhythmic music with a Latin twist that get kids to “shake their tail feathers.” The band was founded by the only Latina Ray Charles backup singer in history Birdie Mendoza. Their debut CD, The Wild World of Wildlife, won a Parents’ Choice and Gold National Parenting Publications Award. Their 2nd CD, Move Like An Animal, won CD of the Year from Creative Child Magazine and a Parents Choice Silver.
Lindsay Lipton Gerszt
Lindsay Lipton Gerszt was born and raised in Miami, Florida. Because of her love for music and the arts, in 1997, she began her career in Los Angeles at Capital Records. In 1999, she worked at MCA records and in 2003 she worked as a music manager at The Firm. Lindsay had the pleasure of working with, managing and doing PR for some of the biggest artists in the music industry. In 2007, she stepped back from the music industry to begin her beautiful family. It was at this stage in her life, that she came face to face with postpartum depression. She has now committed herself to raising awareness for PPD, it’s many faces and the path to a healthy life and family. Her commitment to PPD has included working on the important documentary “When The Bough Breaks”–a documentary about postpartum depression. This work has included fundraising, producing and telling her story, along with helping other women tell their story. This effort has become her passion.
Trevor Mulligan, after 20+ years, left the world of advertising as an innovative digital leader working with high profile companies to produce the premium quality Rich Online Media. He quit his job seven+ years ago to be a stay at home dad. He has turned his focus from developing and leading the creation of Interactive Online content to laying the foundation for his boys to lead fruitful and happy lives while making a difference in our world for the better. Trevor has been on the front lines of fatherhood and the fight to help change the way our society views fathers today. He is the co-founder/co-organizer for the LA Dads group, and an active community leader. In his spare time he loves to play with his boys, you can find them doing anything outdoors with his boys from swimming to surfing to hiking local trails in LA.
Dr. Jill Campbell
Dr. Jill Campbell is a licensed clinical psychologist with over 20 years of experience in early child development, parenting and women’s issues. As an intern at The Jewish Board of Family and Children’s Services, Jill worked in their therapeutic nursery school with special-needs preschoolers. Dr. Campbell completed her post-doctoral training at Cedars Sinai Early Childhood Center in Los Angeles. Jill has worked in private practice and for a group pediatric practice in Encino. In addition, for several years Jill facilitated psychotherapy groups for New Directions Eating Disorders Center in Sherman Oaks. Currently Dr. Campbell is the staff psychologist and Mommy & Me curriculum director at The Pump Station & Nurtury. She provides a variety of services to new mothers and their families including psychotherapy sessions, parenting consultations, support groups and classes.
Geraldine Perry Williams
Geraldine Perry-Williams, MSN, PHN, LCCE, CLE, TC is a registered nurse and community health nurse whose work over the past 30 years has been to improve the health and well-being of pregnant and parenting women, infants and children. Geraldine is a doula, a La Leche League Breastfeeding Peer Counselor Trainer, a Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator and Certified Lactation Educator and Transformational Coach.
Owner of Earth Baby Boutique. Renee Kennedy Powers started using cloth diapers in 2013 when her son Tannen was born highly allergic to disposable diapers. Renee wants to share her passion with others by spreading the word about all of the great benefits of using cloth diapers and making it accessible and practical for everyone. Renee has been teaching cloth diapering all over for almost 5 years.
As The Pump Station & Nurtury’s director of client relations, Donna Ford is an extraordinary resource for postpartum families. Donna successfully connects new parents with the support and resources needed most. A firm believer that every baby and family is unique, Donna’s customized approach is both respected and appreciated by clients throughout SoCal. A proud mother of two, Donna discovered her passion in the birth industry following the birth of her son when she suffered a bit of postpartum depression resulting from extreme sleep deprivation and lack of confidence in dealing with her son’s sleep issues during his first year of life. As a result of her struggles, she became passionate about infant sleep and wanting to help educate other exhausted parents about sleep. Through her extensive research, she became extremely knowledgeable in baby’s developmental needs, effective sleep coaching methods and scheduling routines. Today, she works alongside each family to help them develop healthy sleep habits and assists families by implementing a sleep method that fits their own parenting style.

Nicole Priest from Nicole Priest Photography is here to share with you five basic tips for utilizing the space and items you have on hand around the household to take better photographs. Bring along your baby to learn in a mock set-up, how you can take better photographs of your children as we go over, angles, lighting, coloring, backdrops, and most importantly, making sure your baby is comfortable and happy.
Taryn Rioseco, DONA ICEA feels honored to be part of the AMH community and treasures her Mothers’ Gathering classes. She is a DONA trained Birth Doula, ICEA trained Childbirth Educator and Music Together certified Teacher/Director. She currently teaches mixed age Music Together family classes in the Valley, facilitates Mothers’ Gatherings (new mom support/education groups) at A Mothers’ Haven, and leads Toddler Classes at BINI Birth and private homes in the LA area. She is a former co-leader of the San Fernando Valley chapter of Holistic Moms’ Network (a national nonprofit). Taryn is currently in training to become a Certified Instructor for Hand In Hand Parenting.

Dr. Lisa Stern
Dr. Lisa is a leading pediatrician at Tenth Street Pediatrics in Santa Monica. She is a resource to many families from before the birth of their first born to well after their last child’s college graduation. Her interests lie in common sense pediatrics and parenting practices. She has written many articles, a book “LOLA’s personal,honest, real-life guide to your first period” and will one day finish her next book “Bead in the Nose: A humorous guide to pediatric home remedies”.
AJ Jonesco, a DONA trained Postpartum Doula and Newborn Care Specialist, combines her love of newborn care with her commitment to building strong, happy families by serving as director of client services and business development for The Pump Station & Nurtury. Together with Donna Ford, she leads their newly formed Postpartum Services division, managing a team of postpartum doulas that support families of singletons and multiples throughout the Los Angeles area. AJ believes in empowering every parent to bond with their newborn and have the confidence to follow their instincts in raising their little one. By providing the resources and tools to create a nurturing and efficient home environment, she takes pride in and greatly enjoys providing support and guidance in establishing each family’s new dynamic.

Paulie Z has been performing for kids for almost 20 years now and his youthful brand of showmanship and high energy sing-a-longs have successfully made him one of the most sought after children’s entertainers around.
