Pura Stainless will be at the 2017 LA Baby Show, on November 4 and 5, at the Magic Box at the REEF, in DTLA, when the nation’s largest show for expectant and new families returns to Los Angeles. A family-friendly mega-event featuring everything to do with maternity, baby, and toddler – from top products to trusted parenting experts – the LA Baby Show will welcome thousands of expectant and new parents from Los Angeles County, the surrounding counties, and beyond!

For someone unfamiliar with Pura Stainless, how would you describe the company’s mission and core offerings?

While we are humbled to admit that our products have won more third party awards than any bottle in history, our motivation to innovate and continually improve our products is stronger than ever.
Tell us about the company’s background. When did it start and how has it evolved since then?
Pura was founded in June 2008 and much to our frustration our idea was ahead of its time. We saw a lot of puzzled faces in our early meetings. Who cares about plastic lids, spouts, collars and the like? Stainless steel is too antiseptic and boring. But we would not give up.
As parents, we knew that nothing is more important than the safety of our little ones – and nothing is more frustrating at 3am than not being able to find the lid to a specific bottle. So we pushed on and ignored the naysayers. We made mistakes but redoubled our efforts. We listened to our customers and continually sought to improve our products and benefits. People started to take notice and in 2012 we won an astounding 14 independent awards, including recognition from pediatricians and the US House of Representatives. Pura became a real company. In 2016, we became the first product to achieve the NON-TOXIC CERTIFIED rating from MadeSafe. We now have 35 awards and 17 issued patents. We are on our way!
Our customers “get it” – there is no place for plastic in anybody’s mouth, durable re-purposed products are so much better for our environment than buying new bottles every couple of months. And, isn’t it cool to be able to build and customize your bottle daily? We are humbled that our products are now sold by leading retailers in more than forty countries. But our journey has just begun – and we have many more products coming soon. What are the most popular and/or newest products from Pura Stainless?
In truth, there is not a single product in our lineup that hasn’t been incredibly popular due to the fact that all of our products were uniquely designed to address real problems that parents face around the world. However, our sippy and straw bottles continue to be some of our best sellers. Apart from being the SAFEST bottles on the market, parents love that they are spill-proof, durable, and that they will grow with their children for years to come. Our insulated line has also been growing rapidly, as consumer preferences are trending towards bottles that can keep their drinks cold throughout the day. Our PuraTherma™ insulated technology can maintain the temperature of your bottle for up to 24 hours! Launched at the beginning of 2017, our new Swirl line is also growing in popularity. Consumers love the fun bright colors and patterns offered by Pura, as opposed to the drab colors offered by many competitors.
